Peter ready for Stockholm

Peter Aesaert, chef of restaurant Kasteel Viteux in De Pinte, East Flanders, has won the Belgian Final of Bocuse d’Or. Peter Aesaert will be
participating in the European Final, taking place on 7 and 8 May 2014 in Stockholm, Sweden.
With 1031 points, he beat his three adversaries: Xavier Bernes from The Hotel in Brussels, Stéphane Grulois from Maxens in Saint-Symphorien near
Mons and Kenny Bernaerts from Studio Bern in Brussels. Aesaert distinguished himself with his “refi ned and fresh presentation and especially
the taste of his dishes”, according to Peter Goossens, chef of the three-star restaurant Hof van Cleve and chairman of the vzw Bocuse d’Or. Peter
Aesaert will be assisted by a team which will help him to prepare for Stockholm.
Niels Dedier made his mark as best sous-chef. He will be working at Peter Aesaert’s side and, hopefully, together they will achieve a top result..
