Culinary Book Fair in Poland

10 july, 2015

The Culinary Book Fair, initiated in 2013 by Marta Gessler, restaurateur and designer, is the only event in Poland combining cooking and literature. This year’s edition, the third one in a row, will start on 24 July 2015 and, traditionally, go on for three days.

This year’s Culinary Book Fair will focus on two issues – experience and real food. The first topic should be understood both as specific skills, and as an experience/sensation, while the second one – as an area we should reclaim, something that has been lost in the midst of increasingly elaborate dishes and over-styled photos. Both of these topics will be combined by an exhibition of food magazines from around the world.

The Culinary Book Fair will once again host publishers and book stores offering a wide variety of books on the topics of cooking and eating. The event will also feature meetings with the most popular and interesting characters of the Polish culinary scene, including experts and enthusiasts, chefs and restaurateurs, authors of culinary blogs, books and magazines, as well as specialists in reconstructing old cooking recipes and in the history and anthropology of eating.
