Hospitality is being reinvented. Hotels are evolving into places to work, meet, dine, recharge and discover; restaurants are rethinking the guest journey; and technology is increasingly shaping service behind the scenes. In Paris this November, EquipHotel 2026 will bring these changes together under one roof, offering a practical and creative view of the industry’s next chapter.
With more than 1,200 exhibitors and approximately 80,000 hospitality professionals expected from 133 countries, the four-day international trade show will connect hoteliers, restaurateurs, architects, designers, suppliers and investors. Its guiding theme, “Hospitality in Motion”, reflects a sector where expectations, business models and experiences are constantly evolving.

A hotel is no longer just a place to sleep
Guests increasingly expect more than a comfortable room. They want places with personality: flexible spaces for work or relaxation, authentic food and drink experiences, thoughtful design and services that feel relevant to their lives. From boutique properties and luxury destinations to serviced apartments and alternative accommodation, successful hospitality concepts need to balance identity, operational efficiency and memorable experiences.
EquipHotel’s programme explores this diversity through presentations, immersive spaces, workshops and conversations with the people designing and operating tomorrow’s hospitality venues.
Design with a sense of place
Design has become a strategic tool rather than a purely decorative exercise. Materials, lighting, furniture, acoustics and spatial planning all influence how guests feel and how a property functions. The 2026 edition will highlight craftsmanship and individual character, including the new Exclusive Collection, a curated area focused on premium hospitality, tailored solutions and exceptional know-how.
The “Do Not Disturb” exhibition explores privacy and the intimacy of the guest experience, raising a timely question: how can an interior feel distinctive, welcoming and genuinely personal?

Food and beverage: experiences worth remembering

Foodservice remains central to the appeal and profitability of hospitality businesses. Beyond equipment and new products, the discussion is shifting towards the overall experience: atmosphere, storytelling, skills, efficient operations and the way food and drink bring people together.
One notable project is L’Atelier Rouge, a 400 m² signature bar designed by Paris Society Consulting and Saguez & Dash. Visitors will move through a sensory corridor and a space revealing techniques and craft before arriving at the bar itself. The concept turns a drink into a journey, illustrating how a well-designed food-and-beverage venue can become a destination in its own right.

Wellbeing becomes part of the guest promise

Wellness is no longer confined to an isolated spa menu. Sleep quality, physical and mental wellbeing, inclusive design and restorative environments are increasingly part of the broader hospitality offer. EquipHotel’s wellbeing sector will bring together suppliers and experts in spas, fitness, bedding, treatments and accessible facilities.
Its Senses Room concept will put the spotlight on adaptable and accessible bathroom and spa experiences, showing how thoughtful design can combine luxury with comfort for a wider range of guests.
Technology that supports hospitality, not replaces it
The industry is also asking practical questions about artificial intelligence, automation, digital distribution, cybersecurity and the economics of running a property. Used well, technology can simplify back-office work and give staff more time for the human interactions that guests remember.
On Thursday 5 November, HITEC Paris will focus on hospitality technology, while the HSMAI Europe Commercial Strategy Forum Paris will address distribution, marketing and revenue management. Together, these events will connect digital innovation with commercial performance.
Ideas, talent and innovation on stage
Alongside its exhibitor showcase, EquipHotel will host competitions, professional demonstrations, conferences and awards. The Innovation Awards will spotlight new solutions in design, foodservice, wellbeing and technology, as well as initiatives from hotels and restaurants. Winners are scheduled to be announced on 3 November.
These sessions offer something beyond a traditional trade-show visit: an opportunity to meet peers, compare approaches and return home with ideas that can be applied to real projects.
Why Paris matters
Paris provides a natural setting for a discussion about the future of hospitality, bringing together a long tradition of gastronomy, luxury craftsmanship and design with a market that continues to experiment with new guest experiences.
For hotel owners, restaurant operators, chefs, architects and hospitality entrepreneurs, EquipHotel 2026 promises a broad view of what is changing—and, more importantly, what those changes may mean for their own businesses.
