Steigenberger Wiltcher’s multiplies its stars...

17 february, 2022

Brussels, 14 February. Steigenberger Wiltcher’s, recently awarded a prestigious 5-star superior rating, has now announced the arrival of a Michelin-starred restaurant. It is the restaurant of Michelin-starred chef Kevin Lejeune: La Canne en ville*, which is moving in the spring to number 77 on Avenue Louise. The hotel and the chef already worked together for a month back during the lockdown in the spring of 2021, offering Michelin-starred meals through room service. This option was a hit with a good many guests at the time. Thanks to this first successful collaboration, the hotel’s management and the chef have agreed to move La Canne en Ville to a new dining space next to LOUI, the hotel’s bar. To begin with, the chef and his team will completely renovate and transform the venue in their image, so that the experience offered is in line with what he has been offering until now. The level of rigour shared by both entities hints at a mouth-watering result. Indeed, customers of the Michelin-starred restaurant and the hotel's international guests alike are bound to be more than satisfied.

After working in a number of fine dining establishments, Kevin Lejeune opened La Canne en Ville in 2018, gaining professional recognition from the very outset. Gault&Millau's Discovery of the Year 2018, he earned his first Michelin star the following year, before being named Young Chef of the Year 2021 in Gault&Millau which, incidentally, gave him 15/20. There can be no doubt that the new space he is gaining there should enable him to spread the wings of La Canne en Ville even wider. Opening scheduled for spring 2022.
